Sunday Market
Getting Started

Getting Started

Connect from Java or Bedrock, claim your welcome kit, and find your bearings.

Three things to do, in order: connect, read your welcome book, walk through your first day.

Step 1 — Connect

Sunday Market is crossplay. Both editions, same world, same chat, same economy.

You don't need a Java account to play on Bedrock. The bridge handles authentication automatically.

Step 2 — Read your welcome book

When you first join, you'll get a welcome book dropped into your inventory along with a starter kit (wooden tools, bread, planks, cobble, torches). The book is a signpost — what to type, where to look. Full breakdown: Welcome kit & book.

Step 3 — Run the orientation

Your First Day is a 10-minute walkthrough — how to find spawn signage, where to head past the perimeter, how coins start showing up, and what to try when.

What you should know up front

  • 18+ server. Chat is unfiltered; behave like an adult.
  • PvP is off in spawn, on outside it (with consent rules — see PvP).
  • Death drops your inventory, but a recovery chest spawns at the spot to hold it for 5–60 minutes (rank-scaled).
  • Travel is in-world. You build runes, sign teleporters, lapis elevators, and use Nether portals — see Travel for the toolkit.

Resource pack

A required resource pack auto-prompts on join. Accept it — it carries the Sunday Market branding and custom item textures. Decline it and you'll see a re-prompt on each join until you accept.
