Ranged enchantments

Bows, crossbows, tridents, fishing rods. Multi-shot, snipe, return-loyalty, plus a few weird ones.

Ranged weapon enchantments on Sunday Market expand on vanilla's Power, Punch, Infinity, Multishot, Loyalty, and Lure. Same idea — make ranged combat and fishing more interesting and more powerful.

Bow enchantments

Snipe

Lvl 4
Bow

Bonus damage at long range. The farther the target, the more damage — vanilla bow damage doesn't really scale with distance, this fixes that.

A Snipe IV bow at full draw, hitting a target 60+ blocks away, hits much harder than a Sharpness-equivalent at point blank.

Tripleshot

Three arrows per shot from a bow (vs. crossbow Multishot, which is 3 from crossbows only). Each arrow is independent and tracks separately.

Combined with Snipe at long range, it's a heavy area-denial tool.

Rapid

Faster draw / nock time. Reduces the time-to-shot for full-draw arrows.

Rocket Saver

When firing a crossbow with a firework, the firework isn't always consumed (chance per shot). Slows the burn rate of your firework supply for elytra travel.

Crossbow gets bow-side variants where applicable, plus a few crossbow-specific:

Multishot+

Vanilla Multishot fires 3 arrows; the custom layer can scale this further or change spread patterns.

Loyalty (crossbow variant)

Some servers add bow/crossbow Loyalty for arrows; not sure of exact behavior on Sunday Market — discover by trying. Left in prose because the level cap and behavior aren't documented.

Trident enchantments

Tridents work on land and water. Custom layer adds:

Loyalty+

Stronger return — the trident returns faster, from greater distance, and through more obstacles than vanilla Loyalty.

Riptide+

Lvl
Trident

Vanilla Riptide propels you when thrown in water/rain. The custom layer can extend range or reduce the cooldown.

Channeling+

Vanilla Channeling summons lightning during a thunderstorm. Custom variants may broaden the conditions or chain effects.

Aquatic enchantments (themed)

A few enchants are specifically tuned for underwater combat — bonus damage to drowned, faster swim speed when holding the trident, etc. Left in prose because they're a thematic group rather than a single named enchant.

Fishing rod enchantments

Fishing rods get the same auto-pickup / utility treatment as tools.

Telekinesis

Caught fish go straight to your inventory instead of dropping at your feet. Big QoL for serious fishers.

Lure+

Vanilla Lure reduces wait time. The custom variant stacks a stronger version on top.

Luck of the Sea+

Vanilla Luck of the Sea improves catch quality. The custom variant stacks a stronger version on top.

Specialty fishing enchants

Some enchants are specifically for fishing — bonus rare-fish chance, automatic enchanted-book pulls, themed catches. Left in prose because the source doesn't name specific enchants in this group.

Ranged combat patterns

"Sniper" build

Bow + Snipe IV + Power V + Punch II + Infinity OR Mending. Long-range high-damage. Best for picking off mobs or players from cover.

"Crowd-clear" build

Bow + Tripleshot III + Power V + Multishot. One draw, three arrows, area denial. Good for swarms or pushing a chokepoint.

"Aerial" build

Crossbow + Rocket Saver II + Multishot+. Rocket-launching builds for elytra play (where elytra is permitted).

"Sea raid" build

Trident + Loyalty III + Riptide III + bonus aquatic enchants. Underwater combat or rain-charge attacks.

"Fisherman" build

Rod + Telekinesis + Lure III + Luck of the Sea III + Mending. Catch faster, catch better, no walking.

Pick one per item — the rest can't coexist.
  • InfinityMending

When ranged > melee

  • Picking off snipers / mob spawners from a distance
  • Hitting flying mobs (ghasts, phantoms, blaze)
  • Long approaches to bosses or fortifications
  • Defensive positions — bow from a wall, sword if they breach
  • Underwater combat — tridents are vastly better than swords below the surface

When ranged < melee

  • Tight spaces — bow draw time and arrow arc don't help in 2-block-wide tunnels
  • Fast-moving targets at close range — melee is more reliable
  • Sustained DPS — vanilla bow draw + arrow consumption is slower than swing damage on a melee weapon

Most players carry both

A typical loadout: a bow with Snipe + Power on the back, a sword in the main hand. Pick the right tool for the situation. Most ranged-focused enchantments work great on alt weapons you swap to when needed.
