Brewing commands
`/brew`, `/brew recipes`, `/brew info`. Help and reference for the tavern system.
The brewing system is mostly interaction-based — you cook in cauldrons, distill in brewing stands, age in barrels. The /brew commands provide help and recipe info; you don't /brew a drink, you brew it physically.
Commands
/brew help/brew recipes/brew info <recipe>recipe
/brew info sunday_sour/brew item <id>id- optional — omit to look up the held item
Practical use
When you're learning
/brew help # opens the in-game guideThe in-game guide walks you through your first brew with step-by-step prompts.
When you've heard about a recipe
/brew info sunday_sourShows the ingredients, cook time, distillation requirements, wood type, and aging duration for the named recipe.
When you want to see what's possible
/brew recipesLists every recipe the system knows. Some are common knowledge; some are signature recipes that you'll have to discover through play, books at tavern builds, or other players' tips.
When you find a custom item and want to use it in a recipe
/brew itemWhile holding the item, this shows the ingredient ID you'd use in a recipe definition (relevant for advanced users defining their own brews, or for understanding existing recipes).
What there isn't
- No
/brew make <recipe>shortcut — you can't summon a brew directly. Brewing is the gameplay; the commands are reference only. - No instant aging — barrel aging takes real time
- No instant distillation — distillation is a brewing-stand action
These are deliberate. The point of the brewing system is the gameplay loop, not a recipe-shortcut.
